Just hanging out

We all thought Cali looked so cute sitting here I just had to take a picture. "We" meaning all of us EXCEPT the 4 year old whining behind me saying "mommy take her out, that is my chair!"

It doesn't matter that Caden hardly uses this chair except for jumping on, diving over, or throwing at Caleb. One of the few times Caden has showed her jealously.

My sweet little Caden, how do I tell her this is just the beginning and it only gets worse?

Time to hit the GYM

You know it is time to lose some weight when your 8 year old says "mom, is your stomach going to get any smaller or is it going to stay like that?"

FREE Babysitting!!!!

Yippee!!!!

The Singles class at our church offered free babysitting tonight for anyone that wanted it. So of course we jumped on that and had a date (FINALLY!) We dropped off the 2 older kids at the building and went to the movies. We saw I AM LEGEND. I really liked it!! Cali was good during the movie and barely made a peep. Of course she was nursing most of the time so that helped! The movie was good, but loud at times which made us both jump. (OUCH!!! - remember she is attached to me and we all know how much it hurts when they jerk their head back without letting go!!!)

I am not for sure why they decided to offer free babysitting. I never asked. Maybe they were just trying to be nice or maybe someone thought this would be a good way for them to remember to practice abstinence or at least birth control.

Another Christmas

We had a late Christmas this past weekend with Chris's family. Now I can FINALLY take down the tree and other decorations and get my house back in order!!!!

We spent way too much time opening gifts, but what do you expect with there are 13 of us. We had fun playing games and eating too much. We actually managed to get to early service on Sunday and we were only 5 min late. That is not too bad for 11 people, 5 of them being kids, all getting ready in the same house! Are you impressed?

Here are my kids with their cousins McKenna and Laney.

Here are the 5 grandkids with Nana and Grandpa.

Here is all 13 of us!

My family, Chris's brother Ryan and his wife Sharla and their kids McKenna and Laney, Chris's sister Kara and her boyfriend Joe and Chris's parents.

Here is Caleb with one of his presents from Grandpa. Yes, I am serious, this rifle is really his!

New Favorite Quote

Who you calling a Cootie Queen you Lint Licker!!!

If you have never heard that line before you are really missing out. It is from one of the Orbit gum commercials. Normally I think those commercials are so stupid and boring, but this one makes me laugh out loud.

I just love it and had to share!

Caleb's Nintendo DS

Caleb got a Nintedo DS for Christmas that he had been wanting for months and months. Christmas was less than 2 weeks ago and I think I need to put a limit on how often he is allowed to play. And by "he" I mean Chris!

Cali 2 weeks

Cali was 2 weeks old yesterday. She has been so spoiled having relatives around her almost non stop for the past 2 weeks. She is very spoiled from being held so much and likes to be held when she is sleeping. Which of course makes night time really fun for me!! We have had good nights and bad nights, last night was a bad night and I have had a few meltdowns this morning and I am way too emotional. What can you expect when living on 4 hours of sleep or less.

Yesterday I told Chris that because she has been held so much she hasn't had any tummy time. So I decided to put her down for once so she could get used to the idea. Well the 2nd time I put her down she lifted her head straight up, then turn it and immediately rolled over. I was able to get Chris to run into the room real fast so he could see it (cause he missed the first rolling over of the other 2 kids). I guess I was a little too excited cause both Caden and Caleb ran in the room to see what was happening. After I told them, Caden gave me a hug and said "AWE, HOW CUTE, HAPPY NEW YEAR MOMMY!" It was so sweet.

This morning it took me all morning to get us all ready and out the door for her 11:20 doctors appt. I thought I would finally take a shower. Please don't ask the last time I took one. I am too embarrassed to tell you. I also had to give Cali a bath. Seriously it took all morning to do everything and get me and all 3 kids out the door. Hopefully when the kids go back to school next week I can be on a better schedule.

I almost had another meltdown at the doctors office when they gave me all this paperwork to fill out. Cali wanted to be held and was screaming in her car seat. I guess the nurse felt sorry for me, maybe she noticed I was about to cry, so she said I could just fill out 2 sheets and bring the rest back at her 2 month appt. I was able to compose myself and actually have a conversation with the nurse and the doctor. She is very healthy and her stats are:

Weight 9 lbs 4 oz (which is 90%)
Length was 21 3/4 (which is 97%)
Head was also 90%.

More Catch up - Christmas

Cali didn't let me finish yesterday, so I will try this again.

We spent Christmas Day (evening) and the following 5 days in Texas visiting my family. We got together with everyone on the evening of the 26th to open presents at my sisters house. Here are just a few pictures.

Our new family of 5!

Me with my 3 kids. That still feels so weird to say!

My kids with cousin Dakota. (My niece Alyssa is not in any pics this year because she just got her wisdom teeth taken out that morning!!) Poor thing, she was so out of it and so swollen. We were going to wait until Sat the 29th so that she could feel better, but she wanted to go ahead and do it anyway. What a trooper!

Cousins again with Dakota trying to eat Cali's dress!

HAPPY NEW YEAR and time to play catch up!!

I haven't updated this thing, but I will try now if Cali lets me.

This was the first year we (just my little family) were either not traveling or didn't have family here on Christmas Eve. Santa was able to find us at home this year. The kids were given strict instructions NOT to come down the hall or peek down the hall until they got us up first. They followed the rules mostly. They only saw Cali's stocking - which she almost didn't have. I forgot until about a week before she was born that she needed one.

Caleb and Caden loved all the things from Santa. Here are just a few pictures of them with a few of their goodies from Santa. I am sure Cali will like the the little things she got from Santa, but we have no pictures of her enjoying them. Actually she was "attached" to me during the whole Santa hoop-la. I am sure she would have chosen that over a few toys anyway.

Caleb's favorites from Santa were his watch that he specifically asked for and his two mounted posters. One is Tony Romo the other is Adrian Peterson from the Minnesota Vikings (formerly an OU Sooner in case you didn't know.) Caden's favorite was everything. She was so enthusiastic of everything this year. However I think she really enjoys all her new dress up clothes and jewelry the best.

They were both having a great morning until they wanted to open the presents under the tree. Too bad for them we had to wait a few more days.

We left on Christmas day to head down to Arlington to have a late Christmas with my side of the family. People thought I was crazy traveling with a week old baby, but she did great.
